Before we begin, make sure that you have a copy of your Flowbox 'Flow key'.
To find your 'Flow Key', log into Flowbox and select your Flow, then click on the meatball (three-dot) menu to copy the key:
Install the Flowbox plugin for Magento 2.0 🏗
The Flowbox plugin can be downloaded from the Magento Marketplace. There are three types of Flowbox integrations (widgets) available:
- Default (standard Flow).
- Dynamic Tag Flow.
- Dynamic Product Flow.
Configure the Flowbox widget in Magento👷♀️
In order to use Flowbox in your Magento store, first, log in to your Magento Webshop admin account.
The Flowbox integrations will be accessible via the 'Widget' menu. Via the 'Content' tab in the left-hand menu, you can select 'Widgets' and then click on the 'Add Widget' button.
- Select 'Flowbox Flow' in the first dropdown.
- Choose the current 'Design Theme' that your webshop is using.
- Click on 'Continue'.
Following these steps, you can now:
- Name the Widget (such as Homepage Flow).
- Assign to Store Views. If you want the Flows to be added to all stores, or you only have one Store View, you can pick 'All Store Views'.
When you have multiple stores and want to have a specific Flow for each Store View, you can consider specifying the 'Widget Title' to the relevant Store View (linked to the previous step).
- With the 'Sort Order' you can specify the order when there are multiple Flows on one page.
Once you've decided which type (Default, Dynamic Tag, or Dynamic Product) of Flowbox Flow will be contained in this widget, it's time to add a Layout Update.
To open these settings, click on 'Add Layout Update'. Then you'll need to decide what page you want your Flow to be displayed on.
If you select 'All Product Types', this Flow will appear on all your product pages.
You can also update the container placement on your page. Here, container refers to the box containing the Flowbox Flow. You can select to display your Flow before the page footer, in the page header, in the main content area, etc.
All updates and edits to your Flowbox Flow (content, styling, tags) need to be made in your Flowbox Admin account.
