Send requests and gain rights to use your customers’ content

How Flowbox covers you?

At Flowbox, we assist you in requesting and managing rights for Instagram posts. We ensure easy management of your pending requests and help you automatically moderate posts once their rights have been granted.

Due to the limitations of other social media APIs, we can only track requests for content collected from Instagram.

Understanding Rights Request statuses

  • Pending: The request has been sent out, awaiting a reply.

  • Author replied: The user has answered your comment, but they have not replied with the key hashtag.

  • Granted: The user has granted you the rights to use their post.

    • Request by comments: They used the key hashtag.

    • Request by DM: They clicked on "Yes, I agree" on the approval page.

    • Media Uploader: They agreed with your Terms of Use specified before uploading their media.

  • Declined: The user has rejected the request you sent via DM.

  • Expired: Your request didn't receive any answer after 7 days.

  • Self-granted: You have confirmed that you hold the rights to the post.

    • Own posts: All posts collected from one of your connected accounts, will be automatically marked as 'Self-granted'.

    • UGC posts: The user has granted rights through a method other than the key hashtag or the approval page, and you manually marked the post as 'Self-granted'.

  • Whitelisted: The user was added to your whitelist. Their post will be automatically marked as 'Whitelisted' if collected via @Mention or Tag.

What’s your responsibility?

To ensure proper management of your content, we highly recommend requesting the rights for all your collected posts.

While Flowbox is not responsible for the content displayed on your Flows, we are here to advise you on best practices.

Handle the reports

All Flows provide customers with the opportunity to report a post uploaded on behalf of the client. For instance, some creators may ask you to delete their content from your Flows if they did not give you the right to use their post.

If a post is reported in a Flow, you will receive a message in your Flowbox account and should review the report’s cause and take appropriate action. We recommend that you pay close attention to the reports you receive and handle them promptly.

To find the reports received, go to Flowbox platform > Visual Marketing > Reports.

There, you will find all unhandled and handled reports.

Create a legal page

On your website and social media accounts, we recommend having a clear and easily accessible section for your Terms and Conditions or legal page. Please avoid adding a link in the Right Request by Comments templates; Instagram no longer supports any kind of URL and might hide your message.

For more information about Instagram guidelines, read our recommendations.

Examples

The Terms & Conditions need to be created and upheld by your organization. However, here are examples of some clients’ legal pages:
