How to manage your message templates

Create, edit, update or delete your templates

Updated over a week ago

Message templates are ready-made messages you can use to reach out to content creators and social media users on Flowbox. With templates, you can quickly reuse these messages without the hassle of rewriting them each time. In this guide, we'll show you how to create, edit, and delete your Rights Request and Inbox templates.

Types of templates

You can create and manage four types of templates in Flowbox:

  1. Rights Request by comment (auto/manual): Used when sending Right Requests via comments of Instagram posts.

  2. Rights Request by DM (manual): Used when sending Right Requests via Direct Message to the post creators.

  3. Thank you message: Used once a Rights Request has been approved, to thank the creator for the agreement.

  4. Inbox message: Used to create custom messages for your Engage Inboxes.

For each type, we recommend creating a variety of templates to ensure your message will be adapted to the context of your post and follow Instagram guidelines.

Create a template

  1. In Flowbox, click on the 'Engage' menu.

  2. Select 'My Templates'.

  3. Click on 'Create Template'.

  4. Select your template type, for example, 'Thank you Message' and give your template a name, then click on 'Next'.

  5. Write your message and make sure it follows Instagram guidelines.

  6. When done, click 'Save & Close'.

Repeat this same process for all the template types, making sure you complete all the required steps. To read more about Rights Request responsibilities, read the dedicated article.

Edit your templates

  1. Log into Flowbox and click on the 'Engage' menu.

  2. Select 'My Templates' to view your existing templates.

  3. To edit a template, click on the meatball (three-dot) menu and select 'Edit'.

  4. A pop-up box will appear, and you can now edit your template.

  5. When done, click 'Save & Close'.

Delete a template

  1. To delete a template, click on the meatball (three-dot) menu and select 'Delete'.

  2. A pop-up box will appear, asking you to confirm that you want to delete this template.

  3. Click 'Delete'.

Note: Deleting a template is permanent and cannot be reversed
