Haven't installed our Chrome extension yet? Please go to this article and start there.

You can learn how to collect content from Instagram using the Chrome extension in this article.

The Flowbox Chrome extension allows you to collect public videos directly from YouTube. To do so, follow the simple steps listed below.

Collecting videos from YouTube

Before starting, ensure that you have the YouTube Chrome extension source configured to one of your Flows, as described in this article.

  1. Go to YouTube and find the video or Short you want to collect.

  2. Open it in Chrome and right-click in the comments section.

  3. Select the Flow name configured with the YouTube Chrome extension source.

Your collected posts will appear either in your Inbox or Approved tab, depending on the Request Approval setting configured when adding the Chrome extension as a source to your Flow. If "Require Approval" is toggled on, the content will be sent to your Inbox; otherwise, it will be displayed in your Approved tab.

Note: The Flowbox Chrome extension is designed to prevent duplicate content collection. Once a piece of content is collected, it will not be collected again by the extension. This helps maintain an organised and efficient content management system within Flowbox.

Important notes about content privacy

When using the Flowbox platform, it is crucial to ensure that you only collect content for which you have obtained the necessary rights. This means:

Obtain Explicit Permission: Only collect content if you have explicit permission from the user or if you already hold the rights to the content. Unauthorised collection of content can lead to serious legal consequences for your company, including potential copyright infringement claims.

Rights Request Compliance: Due to API restrictions imposed by the provider, Flowbox cannot automatically verify if you have obtained the rights to the content, unlike with other social media platforms. Therefore, it is your responsibility to ensure that rights requests are properly handled and documented.

YouTube terms and service: please refer to YouTube's Terms of service and Privacy policy if you have any concerns regarding the legality of your collected content.
