You can easily embed a Flow in email by changing a few settings, then copying and pasting the embed code in your email provider.
If you're interested in using UGC in personalized, product-specific email campaigns, check out the new Flowbox Email Assets feature.
Step by step guide to embedding your Flow in email (HTML)
Log into your Flowbox account and select your Flow. We recommend you create a Flow specifically for email use, and keep it separate from other Flows in your account.
Click on the 'Settings' (cogwheel) menu.
In the left-hand styling menu, there is a setting for 'Email'. Switch the toggle on.
Scroll down to 'Fallback URL' and input your preferred URL. NOTE: this needs to include 'https://'. Once a valid URL has been entered you will now see your images appear.
Scroll back up to style your Flow. You can select how many rows and columns you want in your email Flow.
The width can be set with both pixels (px) and a percentage (%) value. We recommend using '100%' as it will make the email Flow responsive.
The following settings will only work on the Static versions of the Email Flow,
Large Image Layout
Show Username
Show Product Name
Show Product Price
Dynamic or Static?Β
Choose 'First product (Static)' if you want the images to be directly linked to the first product tagged to the post.
Choose 'Custom CTA (Static)' if you want the images to be linked to any custom CTA button attached to the post.
Choose 'All to same URL (Dynamic)' if you want all of the images to be linked to the same URL (Fallback URL). This version of the email Flow will also update with any newly distributed posts.
Copy the HTML
When you're done styling the flow, scroll down to 'View Email Embed Code'.
Click on the 'Email' tab.Β
Copy the HTML code and paste it into your email.Β
And you're done!Β π
Grayscale
If you wish to create a black-and-white Flow in your emails, you can easily edit the HTML code to apply a grayscale.
Simply insert filter:grayscale(100%);
after every <td style> in the HTML code. You can set the grayscale value as a percentage, ranging from 0% - 100%.
0% is default and represents the original image.
100% will make the image completely gray (used for black-and-white images).
