Type of Flows
To streamline, automate, and speed up the management of your collected media and Flows, Flowbox proposes 4 specific types of Flows:
Collection Flow
A Collection Flow, commonly named "Master Flow", acts as a central inbox for managing your sources and collected content.
We recommend you adding sources ONLY to these types of Flows.
Note: This type of Flow can only be created by our internal team.Static Flow
A Static Flow only displays the content you manually distribute to it.
This type of Flow is typically used on pages where you want complete control over the content and order, such as the home page or InstaShop.

A Dynamic Product Flow automatically displays content available in your Collection Flow, as long as this content has any assigned Products.
It is designed to dynamically retrieve posts on your website based on theproductID
parameter defined during the Product Detail Page (PDP) implementation.
Discover examplesDynamic Tag Flow
A Dynamic Tag Flow automatically displays content available in your Collection Flow, as long as this content has any assigned Tags.
It is designed to dynamically retrieve posts on your website based on thetags
property defined during implementation. These Flows are ideal for category pages, landing pages, or creating “Flows with filter buttons”.

Each Static and Dynamic Flow is a unique embed you can display across your channels. It comes with its own unique Flow Key and its dedicated styling Settings.

Create a new Flow
Log into Flowbox and click on 'Flows' in the left-hand menu.
Click on the 'Create Flow' button.
A dialogue box will now appear, allowing you to select the type of Flow you want to create.
Based on your needs, choose either Static Flow, Dynamic Product Flow or Dynamic Tag Flow.Click 'Next'.
Give your Flow a name.
This name won't be visible on your website but will help you to identify your different Flows, e.g., 'Home page'.Optional: Click '+' to assign your Flow a specific emoji, e.g. if a Flow is dedicated to a particular country, you might choose its flag.
If you prefer not to add an emoji, an icon matching your Flow’s theme (e.g., Grid) will be displayed instead.Click 'Save'.
The Flow is now created and will appear under your Collection Flow. You can view it in either a list (a)
or card (b)
format, depending on your preference.
To avoid creating too many Flows, we recommend setting up one Dynamic Product Flow setup on all your PDPs and using Dynamic Tag Flows for similar embeds (e.g. blog articles, inspiration or category pages).
Edit the type of an existing Flow
You can change your Flow type in Flowbox by manually selecting a new Flow type from the Visual Marketing > Flows menu. Click the meatball (three-dot) menu next to your Flow and select ‘Edit Flow’ from the drop-down menu to access Flow type options.
This change will not affect the implemented code. For example, if you have added tags or a productId property, your Flow will continue to retrieve only the posts associated with these properties.
Note: Only users with Admin permissions can edit a Flow type. Learn more about user permissions here.
