The Flowbox Chrome extension allows you to collect specific Instagram posts, even if they were created before you activated your Flowbox account. To do so, follow these simple steps:
How to send Rights Requests with the Chrome Extension
After installing our extension, head over to Instagram and find a post you'd like to send a Rights Request for.
Go to Instagram and find the post you want to request rights for.
Open the post in your browser and right-click in the comment box.
Hover over 'Flowbox' and select the Rights Request template you want to use.
Click 'Post' to publish your request as a comment.
Once the post creator approves your request and grants you permission, the post will be added to your Flow.
If you media you are trying to collect is an Instagram Reel, you'll have to first click on the reel's date to go from the reel URL:
https://www.instagram.com/reel/XXXXXXX/
to the post URL:
https://www.instagram.com/p/XXXXXXX/
Once in the post URL you'll be able to use the extension.
The post will not be collected to your Flow until the Instagram user grants you permission.
The Rights Request will be sent from the Instagram account you are currently logged into.
Ensure that your Instagram account is connected as a @mentions source to a Flow. If you are experiencing trouble collecting posts, make sure your Facebook Business Account is connected properly. Check out our troubleshooting guide for more information.
Content collected via the Chrome extension follows the same process and rules as other sources in Flowbox. Once the Rights Request is approved, the content will appear in your inbox sorted by date. If you collect content posted a year ago, it will not appear at the top of your Flow inbox. You can search for it by clicking on 'Status' and looking under 'Granted' posts.
