Flowbox offers the Publish feature, an integrated social media scheduling tool that allows users to create, customize, schedule, and publish content directly to their social media accounts.

Pro tip:

Schedule posts at the optimal time by checking the Social Analytics panel.

In this article, we'll focus on the features of Facebook post scheduling using Publish.

How to schedule and publish content to Facebook

1. On the Navigation bar click on the ‘Publish’ icon.

2. You will see a calendar displaying your scheduled posts, including those already created and published.

3. To create a new post, click on the ‘Create post’ button in the top-right corner.

4. Select the Facebook account to which you want to publish the content. (If you haven't connected your Facebook and Instagram accounts yet, please check out our guide on how to connect your Facebook and Instagram accounts.)

5. Choose the post type of your Facebook content. Flowbox's Publish supports two primary types of Facebook content:

  • Status: This option allows you to create a basic Facebook post with text, images, or videos.

  • Link: Sharing one or more web links on your Facebook Page as a post. Your post will include a preview of the webpage you're linking to. You can include up to 10 links within the same post, each with its description and a unique URL. The preview will automatically be created based on the first link you add.

How to schedule and publish a Facebook Status

If you selected 'Status' as post type in Step 5, the following screen will be visible with additional settings:

  1. Pick a date and time for your post when you want it to go live on Facebook.

  2. Set the timezone of your selected date and time.

  3. Write your Facebook post caption.

  4. Add the targeting options. You can target your Facebook posts to reach users with specific demographics, including age, gender, location, and language. While these targeted posts will only appear in the News Feed of users who match the criteria, they will still be accessible to all users through your Page's post feed.

  5. Prepare the post for later recollection by adding products and tags. (This feature is currently not available and will be added in the future.)

  6. Upload one or more media content (image or video).

  7. Remove uploaded media from the post.

  8. Utilize the photo editor to adjust image details.

  9. Review the media upload requirements (image: JPEG, JPG, max 10 MB, aspect ratio 9:16 to 16:9; video: MP4, MOV, max 100 MB, aspect ratio 9:16 to 16:9, duration 1 sec to 40 min).

  10. Check the information of your uploaded media.

  11. See a preview of your post as it will look on Facebook.

  12. Add internal comments for your coworkers who are also using Flowbox. These comments are internal notes in Flowbox and will not be visible on Facebook.

  13. Discard all content and delete the post.

  14. Save the post as a draft for future editing (not scheduled for publishing yet).

  15. Schedule the post for publication on the selected date and time.

How to schedule and publish a Facebook Link

If you selected 'Link' as post type in Step 5, the following screen will be visible with additional settings:

  1. Pick a date and time for your post when you want it to go live on Facebook.

  2. Set the timezone of your selected date and time.

  3. Add one or more new links to your post. In the popup window, set the text and the URL of your link.

  4. Remove the added link from the post.

  5. Write the caption of your Facebook post.

  6. Add the targeting options. You can target your Facebook posts to reach users with specific demographics, including age, gender, location, and language. While these targeted posts will only appear in the News Feed of users who match the criteria, they will still be accessible to all users through your Page's post feed.

  7. Prepare the post for later recollection by adding products and tags. (This feature is currently not available and will be added in the future.)

  8. See a preview of your post as it will look on Facebook.

  9. Add internal comments for your coworkers who are also using Flowbox. These comments are internal notes in Flowbox and will not be visible on Facebook.

  10. Discard all content and delete the post.

  11. Save the post as a draft for future editing (not scheduled for publishing yet).

  12. Schedule the post for publication on the selected date and time.
